Once and once again
2020
48’ x 24” (Individual Panels)
Oil paint and cold wax medium on 17 cradled wood panels .
Once and once again is a collection of 17 wood panels which were completed during the covid epidemic in 2020. The panels are all the same size. They are meant to be displayed either adjacent to each other or solo, upside down or sideways, any which way, which is a metaphor for how fear and grief grab hold of us in ways we cannot predict, especially during a pandemic. The panels seem to have conversations with each other. The conversations change, depending on their arrangement, how one chooses to look, and what one chooses to see.
